Our butcher’s shop and meat delivery service is extremely busy, and because we’re so popular we are often asked similar questions about our meat, where it comes from, the welfare standards involved and – even more frequently – there are queries about our deliveries.
We’ve made a list (see below) of the more general questions so you can find out all you need to know about what we offer.
If there’s anything that still has you wondering, don’t hesitate to call Joe or Patrick and ask.
A: Our meat is all from the local area – or as close as possible. Our whole carcass beef is from Drury’s in Swindon, while we have boxed beef from Jarrett’s in Bristol. Our pork comes from Padfield Porkies in Seend; lamb from Drurys in Swindon; and poultry from Pococks in Whitley.
A: All of our beef, lamb and pork is free range. Our standard range of chicken is higher welfare, barn reared chicken (which basically means they are free to roam, but just indoors). However, we can fulfil orders for free range chicken on request.
A: Most of the range of patties and sausages we sell are gluten free. We’re planning to switch to completely gluten free eventually. If you need gluten free products please ask us for recommendations. The same goes for any other food intolerances or allergies – we can always tell you exactly what is in our products.
A: Yes we do! We deliver within a 10 mile radius of the shop. To place an order just give us a call, email us or drop us a message on Facebook messenger.
A: There is a minimum order of £15 for delivery within Westbury. Outside of Westbury we’ll deliver a £30 minimum order.
A: Yes, we make fresh sausages every week.
A: We can offer most game meats throughout game season, but venison we offer all year round on request, just give us a call!
